I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
